Flame ( Plamen)

It is a red wine of Mali Plavac variety from the southern slopes of the island of Hvar ( the areas around Ivan Dolac, Marinovica and Medvid bad). Mali Plavac is considered to be one of the best red wines in Croatia. Due to the characteristic terrain and its steep slopes, the use of machinery is impossible so everything is done by hand. The slope of the terrain and bare land make the use of pesticides and fungicides unneccessary . Therefore the process of growing vines is organic and ecological. The yield is 0.5 kg per grape vine. The wine has a distinct bouquet of cherry, black sweet cherry and licorice.

Matching food includes red meat, game meat and pašticada (stewed beef dish cooked in special sauce).
